The game should snap to a 16:9 resolution to allow you to play comfortably!
You can Hex Edit the UnityPlayer.dll, changing two 39 8E E3 3F Hex Values with 8E E3 18 40 Hex Values which makes the Game run at 3440×1440 (it also makes the resolution an option in the settings) but it bugs out the Game.
This is how the game looks like after Hex Editing it:
